Connecting downtown Columbus: As part of a comprehensive public life study for Downtown Columbus Inc. REALM completed a recommendation package on the Capital Line and Cultural Park, focused on the Scioto Riverfront at the end of Gay Street and across the Broad Street Bridge. REALM described how the riverfront could be better integrated into the Gay Street terminus, extending back into the heart of Downtown and west to the Peninsula.

Planning for public life: REALM illustrated a series of public spaces that would make the riverfront a destination for visitors and residents. The Cultural Park, through creating a sense of destination, better transition from water to landscape, and urban connectivity, would strengthen the Downtown Core. These improvements would spur further development in areas surrounding the Scioto Riverfront, as well as fulfill one of the goals of the 2022 Downtown Strategic Plan.
