Preserving history: REALM was engaged in this project, located in the heart of Downtown Columbus, to create a new performing arts space. The music hall will pay homage to the history of the Central Presbyterian Church, taking influence from its lively past as well as the materials used to construct the historic building.

A new public space: Through connections to nearby theaters as well as nearby park spaces, the hope is to engage the community in more than just the performing arts, but to the art of public interaction and engagement. The existing church, new pavilion and existing Ohio Police and Fire Memorial Park will become a catalyst of activity, pulling visitors inside the event space and to the outdoor spaces as well.

REALM will collaborate with the project team to create a seamless experience, from park to pavilion. A focus on natural materials and experiences gives REALM the unique opportunity to influence materials throughout both interior and exterior spaces. The creation of a new rooftop space above the pavilion leads to a more sophisticated, unique experience for visitors to have intimate conversation after or before a performance. The combination of event spaces and amenities will create an experience different from other theaters in the district, complimenting their services.
