Andrew Souders

Designer II

Committed to using landscape architecture as a tool for climate resilience and community well-being, Andrew brings thoughtfulness, creativity, and a systems-based perspective to every project.

Andrew holds a BA in Economics from the University of Akron and a Master's degree in both City Planning and Landscape Architecture from The Ohio State University. His interdisciplinary background grounds his work in both the systemic and spatial dimensions of the built environment, giving him a unique ability to understand how a site looks and feels, as well as how it functions within broader ecological, social, and climatic contexts.

He enjoys developing design frameworks that integrate watersheds, corridors, and urban systems at the regional scale, while also designing plazas and public spaces at the human scale.

Drawing inspiration from a wide range of creatives, from the generative systems theory of Brian Eno to the ecological design practices of Gilles Clément and Kate Orff, Andrew has refined a rigorous, concept-driven design approach. His conceptual depth, technical range, and strong grounding in planting and landscape systems elevate project teams across all phases of work.
